Description First painting I've submitted in a while! This was drawn over a period of a week/s for a friend as a special present for christmas.

Drawn on a (rapidly breaking) Wacom Bamboo Tablet and PSE7.

No copyright infringement intended.

Photo refs used for Gollum and bilbo, and based off the idea of riddles in the dark from the film!

Wow, thank you for such a lovely comment, coming from such an amazing artist.Β

I've seen your portraits and they are amazing, I would quite happily swap my digital art skills for yours in traditional!Β

If you ever want any pointers/ tips in digital art, just drop me a note [;

You're welcome, and thank you so much! That's so lovely of you to say! If you can do this kind of thing on the computer, then I'm sure your traditional art must be fantastic as well.

Thank you, I might have to take you up on that soon…

Wooow! Gollum/Smeagol's face is so accurate! How did you get his face texture like that?! It's really awesome! :3 Thank you so much for putting so much effort into my gift, I had lots of fun watching the film with you too, so it's a double gift ^^. I was like D: as I wasn't able to bring your physical gifts for opening in Dubai, so I'm really happy I was able to see this one today! Looking forward to seeing it in printed form too when I get home (and the rest!). I'm so happy you liked your gift too, I hope it fits ok! But yes, Thank you very much! <3

(Also, I like the little touch of Bilbo's glowing sword )

Haha no wayy, you noticed Bilbo's swordd! I'm surprised, such as small detail; everyone I gave it to look at thought it was a mistake! heh. It was so nearly never completed though, my poor tablet couldn't take it xD

Glad you like it! It turned out realllly dark once printed thouggh, I was like, pfft. But you get the general jist ^^ You can see Bilbo more in this version!Β The ring fits perfectly by the way, I've been wearing it all day and I seriously loves it! I don't think it could fit/ look more perfect if it tried xD

And the texture on his face is from layer after layer after layer. So many layers on that goddamn face! I start off simple and work upwards, making it more detailed as I go along, surprisingly though, the eyes didn't have that many layers. Was awesome fun to draw though. Gollum/ Smeagol is hard, especially such a close up view of him xD

But Merry Christmas! Hope you're having a nice time in Dubai. (We need to go see the Hobbit when you get back thoughh ^^)
