I spent many sleepless nights mulling over this web, constantly changing its design as my studies shone light on the complexity of Magic/k. After months of frustration, I was finally able to settle on the current web, and have decided that given my current knowledge, it is the most accurate representation I could design. I have written a brief overview of each below:

  Magik is Ancient and powerful, wielded only by a few. Chaos and Harmony are likely the eldest Magiks, and work in direct opposition of one another to keep the world balanced. One cannot exist without the other. The only natural wielders of Chaos Magik are Draconequui, which will be discussed in further detail in later sections. The only beings who naturally produce Harmony Magik are Alicorns, with Natural Alicorns producing more than Neo-Alicorns. It is believed that the Trees of Harmony and the Elements were created by the Alicorns, but this has yet to be proven. My current research appears as though I will discover the origin of these Trees soon, and if so, I will add a few addendums to this and following pages.
  Love Magik is unique to the Crystal Mountains and Frozen Northlands, and is naturally produced in Crystal Ponies. Since the average crystal pony does not possess a horn, the Crystal Heart acts as a conduit for this Magik, using it to protect the Empire. Love Magik is seen as the greatest defensive Magik; however, it has led to unique magical abilities related to greed (Tirek), hate(Umbrum), and envy(Unreformed Changelings). On the other hoof, Love and Harmony Magiks share the subset of Friendship Magik, which is accessible to all and aids in spreading both Love and Harmony Magik across the land. However, this Magik is only able to be wielded in a physical form through the Elements of Harmony and their Guardians.
  Celarcania is a new discovery, made by yours truly (not to toot my own horn). It exists in Celestria and the Void in two forms: Pure and Impure. Pure Celarcania is unstable and used by the Void, whereas Impure Celarcania has been imbued with the elements and is used by the Zodian Council. Impure Celarcania has two subsets: Celestial Magik wielded by the Celestrians and Inlustris Magik, wielded by the 'Procidens Stella' or Bat Ponies.

Magic is modern and much more diverse. Specialized Magic is a prerequisite of Neo-Alicornism, and includes the ability to manipulate emotions, memory, time, space, cutie marks, or age. It also covers restoration magic, crystalline magic, and weather magic. This is used when no viable candidates can use an Ancient Magik without a conduit.
Unbalanced Magic is considered to be harmful or dark as it is more likely to cause damage to the wielder and those around them. It involves fear magic, destruction, control, cursing, banishment, and necromancy.
Balanced Magic is considered beneficial to the wielder and those around them, and includes Hope, Creation (Inspiration), Illumination, Protection, and Healing.
Utility Magic is a Neutral Magic that has 3 sub levels: Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced. Each level has its own spells that fall under different difficulty rates and must all be passed to advance to the next level. Very few can master all of the advanced spells, and many focus on just one or two advanced spells. One dot means it is the easiest to master, and 5 means it is the most difficult.

Note: Item based magic is the result of Charms, Enchantments, and Curses and falls into its own category. Some Magical Items also produce their own magic or act as conduits of magic. These will be discussed later.
Potions fall into their own unique category that will also be discussed later.
Shooting beams of concentrated magic out of one's horn is a practice in magical control that does not fall into any category as it something foals often begin to do naturally as their magical cores grow. It can be used as an attack.
