In the classic She-Ra cartoon series Catra is a character who transforms into a large cat seen here

So for this custom I created a Catra (in cat form) figure based on the vintage Scratchin’ Sound catra figure from the 80’s which you can see here

I also wanted this cat figure to fit in with the overall look of the other vintage Princess of Power action & steeds.

For the base I used a cheetah figure I found in a local Poundland shop seen here

The figure was painted black to match Catra’s hair then I covered it with a coat of black flock to match the look of the vintage Panthor & Clawdeen figures.

Her harness was made from pink faux leather & trimmed with the tails of 2 old Scratchin’ Sound Catra figures.

It attaches at the bottom with small popper buttons.

The spikes on her back were made from a silver shampoo bottle which was cut into shape then, details were added using silver holographic tape to help give her than vintage POP figure feel.

After I stitched the spikes to the harness I then painted silver cat markings to the pink leather to represent the stripes that went down the vintage Catra figures legs.

To finish the harness off I added a red jewel to the front.

I sculpted the Mask using a product called ‘Fixit Sculpt’ to which I added 2 green tear drop shaped jewels for her eyes. The mask was then painted pink & silver using Humbrol enamel paints.
