Description
Rom was a comic published by Marvel in the early 80's,under licence from Parker Brothers.He was an alien spaceknight,who came to our planet to fight another alien race,the evil Dire Wraiths.Rom was never a popular comic,and lasted only for 75 issues,but personally i loved that series,mainly because Steve Ditko worked on this...Rom is a property of Parker Brothers.Related content

yeah admittedly i kinda like it too. i like the pose Rom is in an the colors are very attractive your eye almost can't help but be drawn to them.

I think it's more based on the toy design,rather that of the comic

i appreciate your love for the series but i was not at all a fan of Dikto's work on Rom to put it mildly.

I understand,many fans feel that way,but for me it's quite the opposite!I reread the series recently,and although the issues were Sal Buscema and Akin&Garvey do the art,are spectacular,it's the Ditko ones that still catch my eye,esp.the ones that the great P.Graig.Russell inked.The script is rather weak,after the war with the Dire Wraiths ended,but i suspect Mantlo knew that the title was going to be canceled and rushed to provide some resolution.Anyway i guess we can agree to disagree on this...

i'm assuming you were Dikto fan prior to his work on Rom. that's usually the case for those who did like his work on the series.

You're right of course,and for me,his Rom work is amongst his best later work.But Rom in general still remains one of my favourite comic series!

ok that's cool. for me i was about 12 or 13 when Dikto took over the series and i was pretty distraught over it. at that age i looked at the art at face value and not with all the Dikto nostalgia attached to it. but if you like Rom you'll probably like this as well you might like this new digital Rom/Galactus fan art [link]
