Walkthrough-process for -- [ Moment of Calm ] Hector's Dolphin --
This one was pretty straightforward - although, I initially thought
of making this piece bright, textured, and patterned solidly with
the netting. I eventually settled on shading the net (although it
does look a little awkward fading in in the manner it does) and
working some bubbles in!
Loving painting cetaceans! I'm so used to working with canines/furred
animals, so being able to draw something so smooth allows me to spend
more time detailing and bringing out other aspects in the time I would take
for just the fur. Although I could have produced a better composition, I am
quite happy with how this [En] piece turned out

Your art is my religion!! Ahhhhhh it’s so beautiful, and I’m especially in love with this piece; ’a moment of calm’, implying that somewhere somehow dolphins swim free in peace. This speaks to me on so many levels, since my heart pumps a little bit extra for the justice and protection of marine mammals ❤️
