I'm suprised the father isn't at the nest, don't they usually watch the chicks while the mother forages?

they were GREAT parents, both of them were feeding  there baby , they had 4 of them too feed , there nest was on my porch, so I was lucky too see them in action

Ah, I was a little curious... normally, one parent stays at the nest to keep the chicks warm and the remaining eggs incubated, but if there were 4 chicks, it would make sense that both went out in search of food to keep them fed.
