- Timid: Banded Pearl is easily startled. Their anxiety seems to affect them daily, largely interfering with how they interact with others.
- Self-conscious: They have a lack of confidence, believing they are constantly below others.
- Reserved: Banded Pearl prefers keeping to themself, often avoiding anyone they aren't familiar with.
- Peaceful: Pearl often avoids conflict, enjoying solace and staying out of any possible trouble. They are also calm and generally accepting when around those they trust.
- Determined: Despite their lack of confidence, they are very determined in what they do and don't usually stop a task until its completed.

Appearance: Banded Pearl is a black and white bicolor gem, they wear a black vest with white buttons and matching black pants. They also have black and dark grey striped sleeves reaching their elbows, and black cuffed boots with a white trim on the bottom. Their eyes are heterochromatic, with their right eye being black and their left being white. Their hair is split in color, just as their eyes are. Their skin is primarily black but has hints of white stripes throughout.

Other:
- Banded Pearl is a defective gem, originally meant to be a black pearl but an error during their growth gave them the additional white coloration.
- They were formerly a servant on Homeworld and have a history of emotional and physical abuse.
