Description
I know it isn't right to ask for it, but PLEASE, if you use this tutorial:Thanks! ^^
---
Well, some people have asked me how I make my plushes' head, so I've tried to make some sort of a tutorial, taking photos of the whole process to try to help.
1.cut to circle pieces of felt and the strip like the ones in the photo
2. start sewing the strip around the piece that will be the face like you see on the picture
3. that's how it should look. ^^ a little swiming pool
4. sew both edges of the strip together
5.turn the face inside out so the seam don't look so ugly
6. sew the back side of the head to the strip
7. leave a hole a fill the head with cotton
8.sew the rest of the strip
sorry for the unnecesary steps ^^"
I hope this helps you

Sorry for the late reply, I do not often enter deviantart and I have no time to look at messages. The stripe is about 1 cm wide

Oh gosh! I want to try it so badly! I've been looking for a pattern forever to start off creating dolls. I think I made my patterns too small so it's a little terrifying. Plus I can't follow this tutorial because I use a machine instead of a needle...*pout* it looks so awesome though!

I measure the fabric strip by putting it around the circle of the face.

Thank you, but what about plushies that have movable limbs via "doll joints"? Or plushies with limbs that hang down like this? [link]
Also, do you know of any fourms for people who make their own stuffed animals/plushies and can get and get advice from each other? You're English seems just fine to me, BTW.

Ask other plush makers here in DA, maybe they know any forum to tell you.

Silly Question, I have this little problem with sewing plushies where when I hand sew them everythings fine til I turn them inside out, stuff them, then continue stitching because my stitch doesnt look the same as the others, I do the same stitch you do in the #2 picture, when you get to the outside stitching how do you make it look the same?

nitanita In reply to TheHetaliaLuver [2012-08-09 11:15:58 +0000 UTC]
maybe you use a different type of sewing. I don't know anything about sewing, I just improvise, so I'm sorry I can't help you

I'm sorry, I don't know anything about sewing, I don't know what is a blanket stitch. I just sew it as it goes
The stitch is something like the one on the left bottom corner of this drawing [link]
