Kids shows get away with.
Back in the 90s with shows like Animaniacs, Rugrats, and PPG(original) the innuendos were so cleverly hidden they'd go right over kids' heads.
But with more recent cartoons, they don't even try to hide the innuendo. Sometimes (like in the case of Adventure Time) there just plain obvious.
