The first thing that catches me about this photo are the warm soft colors, exactly what I would associate with winter, and totally fitting for a title such as "October Evening" The purple tones in the sky are especially pleasant.

I really like the framing of the picture. The path at the foreground really leads the viewer into the picture and creates a sense of depth. As you spend more time looking into the photo you start to notice details in the backgroud such as the house and barn.

Overall the impact is definitely that this picture creates a sense of a warm, pleasant autumn evening in the country.
