I JUST REALIZED that an alternate meaning of nip is a small amount of liquor!!! GENIUS oh my gosh ;w;

the above example is a boy Fishnip with a betta fish tail and normal/house cat ears.

Species Physical Features:
- Fishnip have cat ears and a fish tail. The species of fish can vary, as well as species of cat - either way, the ears and tail usually match in color scheme (colors do not need to be realistic)
- A Fishnip's ears are usually the housecat type, cat ears like that of a tiger, caracal, lynx, etc. are more uncommon
- Fishnip have a humanoid form and a fish form. They are usually in human form to mingle well with other species and live on land.
- In fish form they look really derpy and creepy laughs; they can actually swim very fast (if they aren't drunk)
- Alcohol doesn't harm their body/health, but they can still get drunk xD

Species Culture/Personality:
- Some like to keep pets; usually aquatic pets but land animals work too!
- Transforming into their fish form can be used for pranks or for fun as well! Since they look kinda creepy in fish form lol
- Fishnip are usually very chill, friendly, playful, relaxed, etc. the go-with-the-flow kind of person
- Fishnip LOVE to drink alcohol! They usually carry around a personal drinking gourd/flask, which is very important to them - ultimate freak out if they lose it!
- Drinking alcohol is the social norm and comes with every meal (usually) and when Fishnips socialize among one another/with friends
- Fishnip can get drunk, it depends on the individual as to how easily they can get drunk xD
- Fishnip are a very pleasant community (in general). The only time an individual can be looked down upon in the Fishnip society is if they don't drink alcohol when it is customary (it's considered rude!)

Genetics:
- They can inherit either fish species/cat species traits from their parents, but the two do not ever mix (there can't be a shark/goldfish hybrid tail)
- The pattern on their tail/ears are also inherited from their parents - it can be a mix of the patterns (same goes with color)
