Ooooh, another "edgy" stamp! Actually, I'm dead serious here. I know you can't expect the internet to be nice, but this stamp refers more to real life. I support respecting an opinion being expressed in a polite manner in real life.
The backlash some people get is absolutely disgusting and I have to slap myself mentally to avoid literally slapping someone. I've never bothered writing long AC for my work, but I feel it's necessary since people seem so stupid that they might as well fail a blood test.

Music: To all of you who think you're better than someone just because you like metal and they like One Direction, you're egotistical and need to get the hell over yourselves. For those who actually attack fans because "hurr durr, they're all stupid insane fangirls", shut up.
You're generalizing people and yet you have the nerve to say you're the victim whenever they classify you by stereotypes attributed to your favorite music? Wow. That's a horrible mix of hypocrisy and the victim complex.

That does more harm than good for your side.

What's worse is how many people actually do this, and it's deemed okay. There are crazy people from all fandoms, so what makes yours any more "sane"? And another thing, I'm pretty sure they hate it just as much as you do when someone insults your fave bands like there's no tomorrow.
Why not aim for criticism instead of being all "oh this band sucks because they're gay". That's not a legit reason, that's a typical fanboy response.

I criticize stuff on a daily basis, but prefer to keep quiet in case some people mistake that as an insult.

On top of that, what if someone liked something you hate and loved one of your fave bands as much as you do? To cast them aside and assume they're crazy or fake fans is downright mean and pretentious.

This argument can apply to any group/clique/subculture/topic/whatever. If this makes you angry, get off the computer and go outside for some fresh air.

Now that I think of it, maybe I should change the text on the stamp to "What happened to respecting people?"
