Here is a watercolour tutorial. I wanted to add this because there is also other ways besides the traditional way of paintting with watercolours.
I hope that this tutorial will help you out. And I hope you understand this since my english isnt amazingly good.

Oh, and here is the finished pic, and another traditional art tutorial of mine:

Hi, thank you! I use Faber Castell's watercolors and also some separate watercolor buttons (I can't remember the brand but they can be bought from an art equipment stores).

i have a question :s when i mix my paint with alot of water i get some parts that are near to completely transparent :s is there a way to avoid this and get a nice smooth layer or is it just that i dont mix god enough?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

nokecha In reply to higurashy-bleachfan0 [2011-08-10 16:44:02 +0000 UTC]

I think you need to use less of water. The quality of the color can also impact to the result.

I will try it out. I'm pretty much ok with the the body, hair and stuff but I suck at backgrounds. It always ends up making my paintings look bad. This tutorial really helps with the background, most of the time I have no idea what to put behind my characters, and because of this, I now know what kind of backgrounds to put. In fact I'm starting to have other ideas for the background after seeing this keep up the great work
