Nah man, I think it's strange too. It was drawn quickly for a friend who was feeling down. Plus I still didn't know how to draw the characters OR anything remotely LEGO-shaped. So yeah, it looks like a blur between 2D and 3D and the hands don't make sense. Actually I don't think anything in that picture makes sense.
