Description My bf and I took the time to cook this yesterday for dinner! And it was so delicious.

And this time, we did not screw up the steak cubes.

i cant compare your meals with mine..they are boring.. with my diet in place. mostly cereals, popcorn, soup and soy based meatless burgers are my main meals. very rare would i eat fast foods or a real home cooked meal.

Ah, I mix cooking with outside meals... Trying to be eating a more diverse diet, too, for the sake of health. It's good that you don't eat much fast food.

We love having dinner parties as well. This dish last us for a good dinner, and some leftovers for the next day. (Yeah, we eat quite a lot for 2 person..)

Tell me about it. My cold and cough have decided to come back, so I am on my medicine and it is so effective at killing my appetite.

Basically leftovers cooked with potatoes and beef. It's the concept. I think every culture has similar things.

Hah, maybe the difference is the person who cooks it. You should do it and show us how the Danes do it!

A common way to make it here, is with leftover pork roast or roastbeef, breakfast potatoes and fried, minced onions - and HP or Worcestershire sauce. Good for hangovers in particular.

Sounds delicious! We don't have much pork here aside from bacon.. I am not really a fan of pork unless if it's pork belly/bacon, so most of what we eat are chicken and beef. To some extent, I am trying not to be very reliant on my fried food, and explore new things. I am slowly increasing my intake on fruits, while cutting down on fried items. I miss my fast food sometimes, but I am recognizing that my BPM is 88/min... which is far from being fit. Getting slightly worried, though I still maintain that one of my biggest achievement this year, is me quitting smoking.

Heh, we eat it all the time - though, being an agricultural country, chicken and beef are just as common. On a traditional pork roast, most people consider the rinds the greatest delicacy. I like them too, but I usually give them away; watching grown people fight like children over the last cupcake brings me more pleasure than eating it.

I'm ok with fried food, but never it's biggest fan, and junk food never was my thing. When I was a kid, my mom made a great effort, that my sister and I should have as varied and healthy a diet as possible, so at least we wouldn't struggle with the disgraces of being picky as adults. I think that benefits me now, especially when looking at my peers; at our age, it begins to show, how healthy we've been so far. Oh, my BPM is lower than yours, then; 80-81 (also a bit too high, I'd be ok with 70).

YAY for the quitting! Wish I had the discipline to do the same!

I will work on my fitness, I suppose... right after I get my diet in check.

70 BPM would be ideal. At 88, it's quite embarrassing - I lose my breath quite easily, so I guess I do need to work on it. One step at a time!

You can do it! Back then, it was more like fear that got me to quit. I was drinking so heavily, and smoking so much, that I was afraid of dying prematurely... Something had to be done, and quitting alcohol is faaaar from my thoughts.

I've neglected the daily walks and push-ups for quite a while, I still smoke, and there's been a great deal of socializing (= drinking) over the summer, and a shitload of work in front of the computer; NOT a healthy lifestyle, but I expect that to change next week, where the holiday season ends. I need to get things balanced out again, or I'll end up being as stressed as 'back then'.

Yeah. At 88, I'd put an effort into lowering it as well. 80 is the upper limit of acceptable for me, but still...

Smoking is an addiction in another way than alcohol. You know I like my drink, but I don't have to drink - it's pure enjoyment. Smoking is an addiction, and I hate the idea of needing that shit. However, I've cut it down severely, and I'm able to go for days without smoking, without stressing over it. However, I smoke where it's permitted if I want to - and with all that socializing, well... you get it.
