Driders* are another thing I was turned onto by *phantom-inker , since he's one of the few people on dA who draw them neither as Generic Western Fantasy Art (tm) nor with lots of bondage and/or vore overtones, just good wholesome girls with the lower bodies of giant spiders. I like that attitude, and I think I'll be trying it with some other unusual species in the future. I'm not 100% happy with how this picture turned out, but for a first attempt at a new species, it's not too bad.

Oh, and there's that little milestone thing too. Thanks for tuning in, folks!

* The nit-picker in me wants to point out that "drider," being a portmanteau of "drow" and "spider," is only half-accurate in regards to my and *phantom-inker 's spider-girls, with their clearly human upper halves. The reasonable person in me wants to smack the nit-picker for being so pathetic as to critique invented terminology, and suggests that perhaps the nit-picker might be more at home among the sort of people who get into fights over the entirely imagined and irrelevant as the popular depiction bears only limited resemblance to either mythological source differences between nagas and lamias as a matter of doctrine.
