Description This is the other part of the request from Seth Whitehead

It's also part of the Week of Too Much Alchemy! An array a day, every day this week (unless the world ends. That would suck!)

This is the explanation to the Undying Flame Array. Thats about it... Everything is explained in the piece...

Β Where did you reference the symbols you used to create the sigils? Also, what does the triangle with that horizontal hook line mean? Is that wind energy?

The little man looking part of the symbol was an old symbol for the energy of earth. That extra look with the + is to symbolize it's extraction and use in the array as a power source.

The hooked triangle is my symbol for wind, yes.

so.. umm... say i came up with something like the lightning bolt-shaped polygon you use in some of your electrical arrays, but it was instead just general for transferring power? is your earth sigil the only thing that would work for pulling energy out of the ground, or would mine work, too? also, with regards to the energy transmutation sigil at the bottom, would a pentagon work for transmuting energies as well? and another question (sorry for all the questions) if black spots allow energy to pool in them, how does one retrieve it? if i was pooling electricity in a filled-in ring, would i be able to discharge it at will? or maybe put an empty section in the ring with a wire inside of it, and the ring's solid parts would arc to it?Β

The transmutation circle does give out heat in the process, but I doubt would give out flames as much as thrust, a flame symbol is missing. Think of a jet for instance, does it give out flames? Yes, but mostly thrust from the combustion from the air and gas compressed inside the jet. There is probably less work in drawing out the circle and/or less energy to used from the circle if a flame symbol is implemented.

Wow, this make me feels that this array can actually work given the chance.

? Do you make up the symbols(like the one sigil) from existing ones? if so where so you get the sigils from?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Notshurly In reply to d-devils [2011-08-09 17:41:40 +0000 UTC]

Sigils are about the same as making an array, only it's not based around a circle. With a sigil, you combine symbols in such a way they do something together, which is what happened there.

could that power source be tattood onto flesh and still have the same effect as you used? or would it take Energy from the body instead?

Yes it would. Theoretically.

i wouldnt go so far to say it's immortal. the flame cant regenerate, or- i mean it's dependent on the extinguishable , so, if you take one varaible(apocolyptic circumstance, for instance)it falls in on itself. perhaps, by what we can fathom(nonexistance often escapes our imaginatioin), its just a basic generalization, buuuuuut........
and how does an alchemist activate it?
seems a bit airy
