Description
This is my Captain for my Angels of retribution army, Captain Darius Cain. Thunder hammer and storm shield. My army is a successor chapter of the Blood Angels. He was scratch built using the Death Company bits and his shield was a storm shield from the assault squad and armor plate from the furioso. He was painted using citadel paints. My Furioso and Storm Raven are in the background as you can see.Related content

nice color scheme, but i have to argue with your terminology when you say scratchbuilt, because that implies that you sculpted him yourself... in this case kitbashing would be the correct term....
really lke the captain, nice weapons and ornate look...
i also like the dread in the back,

They are the hooded heads from the Wood Elf Glade Guard box set. I i liked the heads a lot and they seemed to fit well with the theme I was going for.

Yeah, I'm still working on the fluff for the army and was thinking about them being like priests or monks of some sort.

Monks sounds better. Every Chapter has their Priests in the form of Chaplains (or Sanguinary Priests)...

I think so too, just have to figure out what I'm going to do. I always decide what I want to do for fluff or that I want to do my own and just never get around to it.

That's nice work, mate. Any chance we could see more angles of the figure?

I can see what I can do, I've got some other pictures of him through out the gallery but noticed they are mostly from the same angle.

Thanks a lot, not sure if its gold demon good, but I appreciate the compliment I use citadel paints and I use the ink washes which help tone the colors down quite a bit.
