Ah, this looks much better than GW's Heavy Metal paintjob.

If I may add a critique, I find the washes too "heavy" especially for the back of the legs. It doesn't give the feeling of shadows. Or maybe I just miss the point and you just tried to make it suitable to put on the table to play?

As I point out in the description, and if you click the link for the full tutorial, this mini is part of a series to teach simple techniques. Every model in the series is painted with easy to follow methods in just a few steps. The idea is to get newer or struggling artists to become comfortable with painting tabletop quality miniatures before branching out and finding their own styles.

OK
I'd just add that maybe, even for tabletop quality, you don't have to make so large shadows? Using less wash or covering better the wash with the new color.
Imho, it's not giving a good standard to these artists. To sum up, you can make things fast and good.
Hope you understand what I mean. And I'm not saying your work is vain or horrible neither useless. I was happy to read the two firsts tutorials before starting using washes

Thank you for the link, very interesting Maybe I'll try the B/W or gray scale, with one color. But it needs some pictures to have bases about the tones (not to make darker areas lighter —not talking about incoming light or shadows, only the shades of grey replacing colors).
Still I think you should give a more conventional style for your tutorials about techniques, and make style tutorials apart
