There's a bug in the system, when I adjust the zap gun, the menu scrolls instead of the cursor, and I have to go all the way down and look for it TO go down.

Is there a way to change settings once the game starts?

"redo settings" is the command to change the game settings. The game mentions this command when you start.
"set color" is used to change your color / hair style. "redo colors" will reset your saved colors to random on the next start.
