its interesting to notice. I was studying something and this came up in my search. Its interesting but has anyone else noticed that you know of, how these two spread out their weight and their legs spread and seem bigger during this, than they do otherwise? his stay more compact while in the one of her carrying him, she looks so much bigger than she is, its because of how a woman is designed to defend children she bares and whatnot, she is designed to carry more when the need arises yet generally has less upper body strength than males however superior lower body strength. While many women overcome this by simply working out at the gym... its interesting to see how our bodies react the same but also different. Also, they are really good a the facial expressions. I would wager he is really thinking about someone hurting her in that moment or having hurt her and... well yeah.

Its really very useful when considering how to draw people, how different sizes, muscle masses, and even gender play a roll(if only because women are meant to handle more than their muscles, its part of the biological aspect of us... and probably why I can barely lift some things but a friends kid was about to step in a bunch of frenzied ants and I just picked him up then realized he was beyond my normal ability to lift)... so for women our bodies compensate for a temporary boost to things like that... so when lifting our bodies spread out for greater balance in preparation to lift more than we would normally be able to, but for guys... well they aren't built to accommodate the same instinctual urges we are. We are built for different aspects. We are built to be able to fight and hold a child on our hips at the same time if need be, men are built to hunt and posture. I am not saying thats how people live or that it makes anyone superior or inferior in any way... just made a lil different by mother nature. Its interesting to see though the display of this biological aspect in this... it really gives a good example. Even her hips shift more than I think she herself even realized. As weird as it sounds womens hips shift to some extent when we do such things, its sort of part of it, and it happens in childbirth too on a greater scale.  I personally think thats why women do better with different fighting styles than men. Me for instance, if you come at me I can topple someone who is many times my own size, a man is built to use bruite strength and his bones aren't meant to shift nor are his muscles or anything else meant to accommodate such. A woman is made for greater capacity to fight in less brute force and more defensive styles, acrobatic styles or the styles where you use your opponents strength against them. Still depends on the person but... men are built for brute strength but we are made to dig in our heels and hold our ground or run while carrying a child or another loved one even if we couldn't normally do so. That is why our bodies are made the way they are, different instincts, different biology... though most of the time if I bring it up someone will get butt hurt, like its some dirty thing to admit that we have different biology and like it invalidates peoples life choices when they choose to be career women or not. Actually I have found gay guys get offended sometimes but... hey, they have the same brain chemistry as women(I love science, can't stand when stupid people say its a choice though, uneducated Neanderthals just looking for an excuse to hate) just not the other stuff. Its just how biology works.

So thats part of the science of it, its also why its a lil more awkward for a woman to carry an adult than a child, those hips people complain about having are mother natures way of giving us a place to anchor holding a child on our hip and still have one hand free. Men however are built without breasts which often make it awkward to hold bigger objects or people like that... not for everyone but for a lot of us it does. The bigger the boobs the more this becomes apparent.

So many reasons for that shift in stance from male to female... and I don't know about you but I find it all very interesting.
