Description
First Storm in 2013This situation was caused by a strong cyclogenesis, possibly classifiable as explosive, which began west of the Portuguese mainland and that led to a depression dug strongly that crossed the Iberian Peninsula during Saturday.
The center of Portugal was the most affected.
No full convergence in defining the trajectory and caving this depression, but I can say with certainty that there will be quite strong winds, especially in coastal and upland or exposed, persistent rain and rough seas.
This rough seas off the coast of Portugal noted, by the Hydrographic Office equipment, a maximum wave height of 19 meters.
Roads cut, damage to poles and homes caused by wind gusts of up to 130 km/h.
I was without electricity and water for two days and a half.
Now it's time to repair damages and prepare for the second round, as sleet and snow are already falling in some parts of the Portugal.

Nicely done, the aftermath of turbulent seas are quite breath taking!

Let's hope it stays that way.

I admire Locus horrendus. Not afraid, just respect for the damage it means.
Now it's falling hail, you know what it is?

Yes I do. We have had hailstorms in Dubai on some rare occasions.
I've never experienced snowfall though.
