Looks great though, also if you find you can't crop the picture with your camera I dont think it's bad to frame your picture with other elements like your art supplies to make the picture more interesting

That's strange, is maybe the ratio set to a certain size causing the image to be resized with a lower resolution?

Okay, well i'm saying another option is to set up your painting with other things like your art supplies and take the picture with all of it together. You don't need to crop it, but you can in a sense "decorate" the way you take your photo.
