Description
I had to draw a subway for perspective class. It would be any subway as long as it was 2 point perspective, so I drew the subway in a steampunk city.Oh, also, I had to write "Subway" in art nouveau style.
The paper was too large for the scanner, so I scanned it in two parts. It's also too long, but I don't wanna bother scanning the bottom. You can see the seam cause I fail at scanning.
Anyway, see if you can spot all the characters I placed into it in my spout of fangirling.
I'll just tell you that two of my original characters are in there, they're in the middle. They don't count as fangirling though.
Ink, watercolour, a bit of pencilcrayon.

Uhm... All I really have to suggest is to make a vanishing point and point your ruler towards it. Get a really long ruler.

How do you learn to visualise complicated building like that? x_x i try to do it but I just come up with the usual generic blocky stuff.

When I was drawing this pic, I was also looking at a photo of New York. I was using it as reference.
As well, I guess when you try to draw it, just make a list of things you can use to decorate buildings. Such as "balconies, columns, pipes (lots of pipes), square windows, retangular windows, windows with drapery".
Then when you draw the building, you only have to choose one or two of the items to use, and by the time you're done, every building looks unique!
And for the faraway buildings, little slots will suffice. >__>

The two people walking into subway MUST be the result of some sort of fangirling. They're hair is too wild to be neo-Victorian.

Hehehe, yeah, they are. Uhhhmm... I used a bit of yellow on the very end of the buildings to make it seem as if there are rays of light coming in. It kinda got lost in the scan.
