...she's hard at work.This is my rat, Samus. Usually Bailey (the hairless) is sleeping in there, but she got kicked out today.

LOL. I like naming pets slightly mean things sometimes. I had a wonderful fish named "Ugly", and also a VERY fat rat named "Dinner", although I don't remember why I named him that. xD
Decon is a perfectly morbid adorable name for a rat. xD I bet she was nice, most rats are!

She was very nice, actually! one of the nicest rats I ever had. Actually, I haven't gotten any particularly nice rats from pet stores. The nicest ones I've seen are always feeder rats. Which means they weren't meant to be pets, but to be eaten by snakes and junk.Β
And yeah, gotta do it sometimes. A bit hard not to give some of your pets funny names haha xD

It's alright. I had to wait a week to take them because I ended up in the hospital myself xD

Scaly are a big no no for my mom, and all kind ofΒ rodents X3 A few days ago when she was with waking our dog a frog jumped in front of her and she screamed for that little poor thing, later a moose ran over the road maybe 8 metres in front of her... Nothing, just kept on walking afterwards. XD
Then again I dislike almost all kind of bugs... except butterflies and dragonflies. ^_^

Possibly, although my rats tend to beat up every animal they come in contact with. xD But if they were on "neutral" territory, they might get along!

Haha, that's great. My rats are insanely friendly...my older rat Echo's buddy Hazel passed away so I got her friends and I did the whole introduction process where you put them on neutral territory after having them go in each others cages and blah blah? And dude they acted like they'd known each other forever it was hilarious xD Probably just cause the n00bs were babies at the time lol

Yeah, it's way easier to introduce babies than adults. And I notice, females tend to be more gentle in their fights than males. My males (who I had to separate) had fought to the point of ending up in the emergency vet! AND THAT PLACE IS NOT CHEAP. 
I'm glad your rats get along! It's a lot better to have two rats together than to have to keep TWO cages nice and clean at the same time! xD

Haha, actually, I had THREE males, no combination of any two would get along without a fight, so I had THREE VERY LARGE CAGES to tend to all at once! xD And three separate play-times, too.
AAAND, they all had respiratory infections, so I had to nebulize each of them one at a time. @_@
The things I will do for these fuzzy little brats!! xD
But I love them, I can't live without them. x3

Oh wow xD That'd be expensive...at least, if you got a big cage for each. But also bedding and the medicine..wow. You're such a dedicated pet owner, I'm a bit jealous..or maybe I'm just poor. x3

Luckily, I happened to have the extra cages on hand, so I didn't have to buy more, but the bedding, medicine, and surgical bills were what got me for that trio of rats. x3 I've been lucky with my current two females. *KNOCK ON WOOD!*
