In all honesty, it's not Orohnpokemon style. It's Ohmura style.

Ohmura puts ONLY dark gradients, Orohn uses Ohmura style but adds his own effects.

Compare them and you'll see.

There can be different variations of the same style. As you said, Orohn uses it but adds his own effects. That doesn't make it "his" style, though.
