meh, I'm not quite happy with it, maybe i'm gonna try to make it better.My oc Cyrus with a slight different appeareance. I'm planing to give him overall a new design. still in the same colour scheme etc, just a slightliy improved.

I wanted to try dark souls as well, but I'm kinda to lazy to start a whole new game series (and only playing the 3rd feels wrong xD)

God, I LOVE this! His hair turned out amazing and so did his clothes! The background is simple but has a great, spoopy atmosphere to it. Really the only critique I would have is the different levels of realism versus the face and the body. The eye is exquisitely done and the skin well blended, however it seems to me that the face pops out the rest of the image.Β

I tried to mix the realistic style with my usual painting style. Make it way more detailed while still being rough. (If that makes sense xD)
But after reading your ocmment, I really want to give the clothes more detail and depth.
I guess I will have to watch some tutorials, because I suck at drawing clothes xD - Especially for the hat and coat, I want to make it look like "old dirty leather" and not this shiny stuff.

Nahh you could never annoy! (ββΏββΏ) And yes! The clothes appear much more defined and perhaps with more highlights? I'm not sure, it's been awhile since I first saw it, but undoubtedly it looks better, and more uniform with the rest of Cyrus. Oh yeah, and one of things that help me to keep my paintings uniform is to not spend most of my energy on one area at a time, but all over, if that makes any sense. Like I get the skin going until I have a somewhat shaded base for it and then I move on to paint the base for the clothing, like this WIP I've gotΒ
Everything is painted (on the right) with an equal amount of shading. I space my time out on different areas to make sure they end up with the same amount of work and refinement put into it.
Of course there are many different processes out there for painting, I just found something that works for me.

Since everything ends in one layer, I work from the base to the top: First skin, eyes, the clothes...Β
But then it easily happens, that I spend much more time on the first parts (also because I enjoy painting them xD)Β
