Didn't know if you meant the anime had a poor approach to the games or if it was actively gruesome.
I'm a fan of Serial Experiments: lain, Now and Then, Here and There, Gunslinger Girl, Hellsing, Elfen Lied, Black Lagoon, and a few others, I'm very difficult to disturb. If I want a good laugh I'll go see a horror film.
And I've seen some pretty awful anime too (in terms of make, story, and art).

Ok, that type of dislike.
Saw the first episode which looked a bit appealing but I could certainly see where they were going more for the "pleasures" of the genre rather than anything else. I was looking for inspiration for a "motion-comic" series (sort of) based on a group of girls who should all be in a mental institute are instead in an after-school daycare in a young woman's home whose belief in childhood innocence becomes severely tested. It's for comedy though and I was looking for dramatic, sensual effects to parody.

I like macabre and creepy psychological art, shows and what not. I have plenty of ideas that I'm holding back on at the moment
I like the latter title lol. manga/comics are rather difficult to make and requires a lot of know how and patience I have found. But one of the best ways to tell a story in my opinion

Thanks for response. I'm doing the idea possibly on another account/name. What I had in mind would be akin to a virtual storyboard type of thing in a "limited motion" comic with sound effects and voices. I just need to figure out what I'm going to do for backgrounds.
I'll send you an intro bit to see if you'd be interested when I get it down.
