I've been working on this goober for about six years total. Ok, so most of those don't count. I did the line art in junior high and dug it up a few months ago. I decided that, for old times' sake, I'd color it. And then I got this idea to color it in Photoshop.Sometimes I really kill myself with these ideas of mine.
The fact of the matter is that I barely even know Photoshop. I feel like we met at some school thing and I'm not sure if I remember who it is exactly, but I recognize it when I see it around and try to avoid putting my foot in my mouth long enough to make a graceful exit...

Since I put him up on my main userpage, this little buddy has gotten a lot of attention. I felt bad leaving him with no proper background, so I went the whole nine yards and fixed some shading, pixelation (damn you PS!), and general anatomy problems while I was at it.
The background itself was made from gothicpunkstock's [link] "Vamp Bats" [link] . I have abided by their conditions for stock use, though they have not signed on in 20 weeks and have not responded to my request for explicit permission. Please do not take or use any part of this image elsewhere, including the background.
Also, I made this desktop for WIDESCREEN (1280x800), but set it to display at 1024 because I know it's annoying to view something wider than your screen. Because I shrunk the image anyway to work on the background, I'm leaving Download enabled so that widescreen users like me can enjoy it on their massive, beautiful screens.
I'll post the un-desktopified, high resolution version later, perhaps.

those bats remind me of something he said in the anime that was oddly contradictory... something along the lines of "I hate bats." and since he himself looks like a bat, that made it oddly funny. *shrugs* oh well.
This is inspiring... I think I'll get to writing the sequel to my Demidevimon fanfic soon. ^^

Lol, I do remember that line! I recently had this image of him frolicking unawares in the path of a Grisly Wing, and couldn't help myself when I saw these bats.
Now that I'm living in Tokyo, I really should get over to Odaiba and relive some good old Digimon memories... I wonder if the TV station is really haunted?

I do now! I'm going to college and living here for a year, and until February I get to call Tokyo home. I'll probably spend spring semester in Kyoto, though.
It's weird going places and recognizing them from anime. Digimon is actually one of the most accurate. I immediately recognized Umeda Station in Osaka from season 4 and hadn't even known that's where it was!

heh, I only saw a few episodes of season 4. I thought it went astray from the whole concept of the first season, which is my fave season. I liked the third only for the characters... but still only managed to see a few episodes... season two had interesting characters, but all my original fave characters became minor characters, so I didn't like it as much. >,>

It totally did; I didn't like the distinct lack of, oh, I dunno... Digimon. But after the massive failure that was season 3, I felt compelled to watch it as long as it was bearable. Which it was. But it wasn't the same, definitely.
Season 1 is the win.

I wonder though, why is it there are nearly like double the seasons of digimon in japan in comparison to the U.S.? I have a friend who's Japanese and he says there are a lot of seasons of it, many of which I had yet to hear of.

Heh, mine is a laptop. 17" screen. Was hard to find a bag big enough for it.
