Finally finished my first drawing using Leornardo on my Surface 8 Pro. Well over a year in the making mainly due to the limit spare time I have for artwork working fulltime. Tried a very different style to my usual work with this one. Often a use a number of layers in my digital work to build details and no ruin lower layers. However, for this piece I only used 3 layer - one for the sketch, one for the background, and one for the main subject, the python. Working closer to the techniques I'd employ in a traditional piece, I started with larger more opaque brush strokes then worked to smaller and more detailed brush strokes. I mainly used the round brush for this piece and the smudge tool only briefly for the more out of focus parts of the python.
