Description
Using Gouache for the first time and I quite like it, its easier to blend than acrylics but you can still layer it to create block colour if you change your mind, unlike watercolours. I did however paint so much that the paper began to fall apart, I shall realy have to start using canvas.I did nearly give up on this and thought about just ripping it out of my sketchbook but I did my usual of walk away for a while and then look at it again a bit later, then I can usually figure out whats wrong and luckily I sort of managed to salvage it.
This painting was inspired by the flappers of the 1930s- 1940s. I called her Aphrodite because throughout the painting I was trying to portray a sense of deadly beauty type thing...

Its fine. At least you didn't have a 1940's wedding and have everyone dress up like it was 1920 by mistake. That didn't happen to me, but one of my mom's friends.

Thankyou kindly the eyes aren't actually that colour though, they ended up like that when I had to mess around with the contrast and stuff because of my colour hating scanner T_T...mumbles about how bad scanner is...mumble mumble...
