Description
As I said a while ago, I've been playing Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.* I love it to bits - I won't hesitate in calling it my favourite GameCube game of all time. So, as with pretty much every game I've ever enjoyed playing, fanart happened.Look! A background! *GASP* A real one! I really do think Boggly Woods/The Great Tree is one of the prettiest stages (even if the stage itself can be a pain - 101 Punis [...well. 100 Punis and Jabble] are no fun to shepherd about, no matter how cute they are), and I must say it was great fun to draw. It took forever - that floor! - but it was fun.
Hope you like it, please do comment and let me know what you think!
* I completed it on Sunday. *sob, sob* Now what am I going to do with my life?

I love it, both your picture and the game, I loved paper mario games until it came to the wi and they changed the whole roleplaying aspect. I love how you turned the character into a humanoid its a really nice interpretation. Maybe you could have her looking at a mushroom or marios hat something he left behind? Only if you are considering doing more fanart like this of course (:

Thank you very much! You know, I can't agree more about the Wii Paper Mario games - it's just not the same.
I'll probably not be editing this particular picture, but I am working on a Vivian picture currently and fingers crossed I'll finish it today! ^-^

Why thank you, my fine fellow! If you were to eat it, I think you would find it to be quite darling and squishy in the mouth.

I like the background more than the Puni, I must say... at first I thought it was a screenshot from the game and I am really impressed to see it is hand-drawn. I love how you did the floor. I also love how you did the flood inside the tree that you can see in the wall (I always wondered what that was...) and I love- everything... it is so beautifully done... catches the essence of the game perfectly. About the Puni, I kinda like how it is half-human half-Puni. I have to tell you that looks like a mixture of Punio and Petuni to me... The stripes are like Punio´s, but the pink antenna is Petuni´s. The rest is just fine, I like how you didn´t lose the Puni concept at all with the tiny feet. I also love the lights, they look so... Boggly Tree
and the colors on this pic are really pretty.
This stage was the prettiest one in the whole game, I agree with you (Or at least it is one of the prettiest ones. So mystic.... may I be crazy if I said I liked the design for Creepy Steeple too?) but the first two chapters for me were so... meh :/ My real fun started in chapter 3. I also love this game to bits, it´s just awesome.
If you want to know what you will do with your life now, just delete your file and start over! (That is what I did after I beat it, I am now on chapter 5
.)

I think the first thing I've got to say to this is a MASSIVE thankyou! You have no idea how much I appreciate detailed commenting, so here is a cake (it's made of flour, eggs, sugar, water, butter, icing and gratitude).
It's awesome to hear it looks accurate enough to be mistaken for a screenshot - I was determined to make it look right, so yay! And yeah, I did end up combining Punio and Petuni somewhat, I loved the idea of stripes, and I tested a few colours of antenna and pink looked the best. ^-^
Oh gawd, I agree so much! Glitzville will forever be my favourite chapter. (Although those battle restrictions! Grubba, WHY would you EVER make it so I have to take damage 3 times...from CLEFTS... *sobs into pillow* That was a traumatic battle.) Y'know, I probably will end up playing it all over again - this is about my 5th time playing it but the only time I got to the end. xD Until then, I'll probably take on the Pit of 100 Trials and try to complete Harvest Moon on GC.
Thank you again for that amazing comment! ^_^

I am so sorry for the late reply, I have been kinda busy and not getting online really usually. D:
You´re very welcome!!! I know some people that prefer that kind of appreciation, and I prefer to comment this way, just to make sure. ^^ I´m happy you like it.
Well, I have to say again, you did some awesome job. ^^ I really like it.
And well, about the Puni mixture, I guess I was too picky. I think it looks fine, anyway!
Well, I really liked glitzville too (the suspense in the plot it was amazing... and the concept. I hate battle rectrictions too.
), but my absolute favorite will always be the Excess Express and Poshley Heights (The mistery on that chapter and the whole concept were absolutely FUN. I looooooooooved it, I am replaying that chapter, and I have been having so much fun.
) I have a completed file in which I have yet to beat the Pit, and a file my little brother gave me (He couldn´t go past chapter 1, so I´m playing it now.
)
You´re always welcome! ^^

Ah, I don't mind. It's not been that long, I've been worse with late replies! xD
*laughs* Well, I don't get long!commenters very often so it makes me super happy when I do.
Yeah, the Glitzville plot was awesome! I loved finding out the answers to all the 'mysteries' of the Glitz Pit and such, and all the clue-following (damn, was the Mailbox SP ringtone creepy). The Excess Express was great, that boss battle though! The...Smorg Miasma, was it called? Gotta love walking through the Express with Smorgs pressed to every window... o_o I'm actually playing PM1 now because le girlfriend bought a Wii for us yesterday and I downloaded it on Virtual Console. Oh, the nostalgia! *squee* I forgot how much I loved the original.
