It's LONG!! fair warning. xD; Took me quite a few hours to complete. Another project I just got wound up in and had to complete. Now I can move on to other things easier. xD;
I hope it's helpful, never done a tutorial before... oO;

edit: xD;; I was informed the sizing was wrong before for the hand. I realized my mistake, the hand was held too high. It's fixed now... sorry about that!!!

I didn't really help me out coz I still can't draw hands after doing each and every part of what you were telling... But it's still a great tutorial and i'm sure it helps alot of people out.
I must also say that when I try to draw a hand as long as the person's jaw-to-temple-hairline, it looks way too small... Idk how that's possible, but my guts say there's something wrong with that tric...
Anyway, I think you but a whole bunch of work into this,

It takes practice, it not intended to be able to make you instantly be able to draw hands flawlessly but assist you in mastering how to. You also must understand the basics of anatomy, as that does help in mastering any parts of drawing the human body. As far as the size of the hand, it's regarding the jawline in the middle not the back by the ear, if you put the heel of your hand at the side of your face at your jaw near your chin and then lay it against your face, your middle finger should reach your temple. That however, does not take into respect hair lines or the size of your actual hand. I've had this discussion about 20 other times in other posts and my remark is always the same. I'm not an expert, but seeing as I've been drawing my whole life as well as taken a lot of art classes, I think I know what I'm talking about.

You sound kindoff irritated... I didn't mean to offend you or anything, and when I say I appreciated your tutorial, i really meant it (and not in a sarcastic way or something :s)
And I've been practicing on hands for Γ‘ges.. coz I know it's one of my flaws, and somehow it's just not getting better..
But I think some of your tips will certainly help.

I know you didn't intend to offend, and I'm not offended, but if you want to tell me that my info is wrong, have something to back it up, don't just tell me that you feel that that's the wrong information- you stated that it's a good tut, but that it didn't help you, so I'm not sure what you were saying other than critiquing me.
Hands can be hard, I still have trouble sometimes, but practicing more and more will help, sometimes it just takes awhile. But, good luck.

I love looking at these even if they don't really help me. I like to see how people rough the hand then get to the finished product.
I've never seen this good of an example using the BOX rough layout for the hand. I think I'll try it. Also, the poses at the bottom are nice. Thank you for publishing this.
