Saw this great photo by Jamie Ibarra [link] and was immediately inspired to paint something like this. And before you go railing at me for stealing images this was painted entirely from scratch in Photoshop, the image provided inspiration for the posing and theme and nothing more.

Not too happy with the ghost thing I'm not sure if it gets the message across in the way I wanted it to, but anyway, a witch-type character is under attack from a ghost/shade and dispells it as it charges, causing it to disintegrate around her.

EDIT: Fixed the scarf/bandage over her right shoulder - it was pissin me off no end

EDIT: Right that's it - skeleton is GONE! I think it was hurting the composition more than anything else, now I think it's more dramatic cos the action is happening off screen.
