I thought only men could be masons (Yeah, my father was) ...

I'll be working on something like that soon, but more along the lines of the old stone walls from up here in New England. It'll be my first foray into that endevour, but I've read up on quite a few techiques, and I've got the tools, so it'll be interesting....

The women had a auxilliary branch (Eastern Star?)

you'll be working with big rocks i imagine. Mind you these were heavy until i broke them into managable pieces. More of a problem of sharp edges, sort of a shale quality.

Make sure you set up the video camera when you do this so i can watch from the comfort of an arm chair while sipping my..whatever i'm sipping. if it is a live feed, i can back seat drive.

Ah yes, that's right, I remember they even had something for the boys too, the Demolay? Something like that.

Yes, large ones, that I've had to sledge-hammer into pieces, but it's granite up here, with some occasional quatrz, so I don't get much of that nice thin slab type thing going. Oh well, that's why it'll be more of a free standing wall, as opposed to a retaining type...
