as with the Mit'ras-Class of the Jaffa Empire, however, the Cor-Domum-Class is more of a temporary spaceport and coordination centre for the measures on site during such activities than it is actually directly involved in the construction measures
but the Cor-Domum-Class also serves as the basis for the Antoribo-Class ships*
small multi-purpose vessels used as cargo ships, tugboats, to supply construction work with supplies, etc.

but more than any other class of city ship, the Cor Domum class is itself an essential part of the state infrastructure
not only as an administrative centre and representative of the federal government, but also as an important scientific and educational centre
the CLC believes that only persons who have a sound academic general education and can therefore make appropriate judgements without the help of expert advisers are suitable for public service, let alone for the leadership of the state
since in a state as large as the Covenant an administration and government based solely on experts is pure illusion, if only because of the need for personnel, all persons wishing to serve the state in any way must demonstrate a minimum of academic qualifications
the confirmation of the qualification takes place through the passing of a state examination designated as Pareer
- only persons who have passed the Pareer can obtain higher administrative posts (senior civil servants)
- also, the right to stand for election is only granted after passing the Pareer
- however, this only applies to the Priache (ship commanders, admirals as well as the members of the all-planetary executive and above)
all Cor-Domum-Class ships are part of the academic training and house an Antad (Alteran: university, college) in addition to the ship's crew and personnel for colonial expansion.
the Antads represent the highest level of the political/theological/scientific education system of the Covenant of the Liberated Celestis
since not all worlds have the necessary infrastructure to justify the existence of a university on them, all Cor Domum-class ships not needed for Covenant expansion travel through the CLC seeking candidates for the extensive education
the preferred targets are precisely those CLC worlds that do not have sufficient infrastructure themselves, especially colonies whose population is too small to justify building a university
on the city ships, the students then receive a comprehensive basic academic education in the fields of humanities - natural sciences - technology

Rhetoricknowledge of the "Book of Origin" includes knowing how to interpret the "Way of Origin", and students must defend their interpretation both to other students and to the teacher, both their own and to other Antads
it is also part of the curriculum that discussions about the interpretation of the "way" are always conducted in a friendly, polite manner, without aggression and fanaticism, also in order to learn to change one's own opinion if necessary
this is to prevent dogmatic rigidity but also fanaticism in the teaching of the "Way of Origin"
both are seen as fundamental flaws of the Ori and the beginning of its downfall
due to its academic orientation, the Cor-Domum-Class, unlike all other known city ship classes, has an artificial landscape on top of the ship, instead of a technically-practically designed urban structure
the park-like landscape of this artificial habitat, with meadows, small forests, hills, mountains and two "rivers", is intended to make the learning atmosphere as pleasant as possible
also, the Cor-Domum-Class does not have any armament of its own because of its scientific-academic orientation.
but with hangars equipped with at least 100 squadrons of Seraphim fighter-bombers, 850 Impetus-class corvettes and 300 Celeritas-class frigates, the escort fleet of each Cor-Domum-Class has a firepower that is on a par with the armament of the more militarily oriented city ships of the Man'zil-, Dakara- and Mit'ras-Classes.
