I've met quite a few peopel who have had them for pets. They make better meals cause they go insane and tear out their fur if you keep them in a cage and they steal food and hide it where it rots.

Well, I've hear'd all diferent stories form rescuing it form their own cat to "finding" them in the woods. They get taken in as babies and then grow up to be, well, squirrels. No idea of it's leagal or not but definately a bad idea.
