And this is why digital art baffles me. XD
But this is most excellent should I decide to dabble with it some day. Many thanks bro.

This is a great tutorial. You've explained your sketch-to-final process very well without getting to wordy, nor nitty-gritty in extraneous details. I especially like how you described what you work your pencil drawing on, what lead weight you used, and what scan settings you were using. I've seen grayscale-coloration techniques before, but I never thought to use color balancing to tweak the shades. Thank you for pointing that out!
The grammar and spelling are also very good, and I found it very easy to read. The tutorial text is a little cramped, though. Increasing the spacing between letters would make it even easier to read. I've learned some new tricks that I'm now eager to experiment with!

This covered everything, from BG, lineart, inking to shading and coloring, and its also very understandable and easy to follow.
Although I will have to customize some of the techniques here because I work with the mouse, the basic concept of making a picture is very modular, so I think it will work out even for the mouse users

Is latest version of PhotoPaint better than latest of Photoshop??

It depends what you like, I don' think people should rely too heavily on the program, rahter they should work with what they are comfortable with.
Anything I have shown here can be done on either Photopaint or Photoshop. In the end it is your preference.

I liked it very much!
But I really still don't understand why people color with gray colors first and then add colors and do something to make it look like your finish work look like. I have seen the same way by using OpenCanvas to. It is a whole new way to color. Is that like the digital style of coloring, or is it able to do the same traditionally?

I think (just guessing, though. This is the first I've seen of this style) it to work with just the lighting and shadow without being distracted by the color.

This is one of the best tutorials I've come across in a long time. You lay things out and explain the basics in such a manner that it neither sounds condescending to a lesser skilled audience, nor pretentious or arrogant when reflecting on your own work. That really quite is something. I personally benefited from the line-art and subtle special effects parts.
So really, thanks, this is one of the best pre-Christmas presents a struggling CG artist could hope for .

Wow, that was truly great. But.....the only real thing I can take in is the lineart and before that 'cause I don't have Photoshop. :sweatdrop: Heheh, anyway, I was gonna ask what kind of scanner do you have, and is that how the rough really is?
