This is the print that I did for Emerald City Comic Con 2010. it is an exclusive print and will only be sold there so far as i know the print run will be limited to 250.More info : [link]
I have been trying to make my characters a bit more fashionable when they are not in fighting uniform and if I had more time i would do many pieces like this.
The city in the BG is Seattle. This Chun Li is a bit more on the cute side, more alpha ish that saw 3 where she is more of a vixen.
The Pencil line arts for this will be for sale at the convention, and i made sure that it is a one of my best pencil pieces in a while. The BG is drawn on there as well.

Man, Omar, you did a nice job with this! It's so nice to see Chun-Li in something very casual, like we see now and then in official Street Fighter art, or even in her prologue in Street Fighter IV.

The details on Chun Li and the background are amazing. Because both are equal in coloring it keeps me from just looking at one part of the picture.

I love the piece! The only thing I would point out is her eyes; I can't place what direction she's looking at. It's very nitpicky of me, I think, but it threw me off from an otherwise amazing piece. I love the background!

Great piece, Omar. I like how you didn't try to emulate the overly bulky Chun-Li. I swear to god, Capcom ruined her image with SF3. You're the only artist who knows how to make her attractive anymore.

Gorgeous work, Omar! Loving that background and your overall attention to detail always astounds me.
Though, this version of Chun-Li isn't that appealing to me - she looks different in comparison to the way you drew her in Legends, and she seems like she has the "Kristin Kreuk-version" body frame... But overall, this is a very calm and natural piece.

Im a big boy i can handle it!, Though from my experience and research it is clear that the alpha Chun Li is more petit than her older version.
Overall it was a different approach, i draw her the same way for years and years, I like to do it differently now and then when i can.
Fashion is just one of those things.

I guess I'm just hung up on the idea of Chun li being a powerfully built and very leggy lady. This is young Chun so....heh! She's not yet hit her peak pysical condition!
