Gerda:"Oh! Ello I'm watching the ducks getting good at not drowning! You're Ruby right?"

Ruby:"Yep! You're that girl from Atlus right?"

Gerda:"Oh, well actually...I came here from Vale, but I was born in Atlus so you'd still be correct. My parents had to move to Vale while I was still small."

Ruby:"Oooh."

Gerda:"Name's Gerda by the way, Gerda Grünstein."

Ruby:"Ruby Rose, right you knew that. Ahem, So why'd ya move exactly?"

Gerda:"For their practice, they're both surgeons, and they wanted a change of pace and a smaller venue. Also, an issue with their licence that was kind of awkward."

Ruby:"Ah hah, well, they sound cool."

Gerda:"They are cool! So are your parents from what I hear."

Ruby:"Yeah....they're pretty awesome."

Gerda:"Oh! Sorry if that's still sore for you..."

Ruby:"Oh no it's fine! Honestly, talking about it helps sometimes, plus I'm not on my own, I still have my dad and uncle, and big sister to hunt with-."

Gerda:"There you go! Silver lining's are super conductive to good things getting better! That's what I say anyway. And hey, we get to come HERE!"

Ruby:"Still kinda big and all at once for me...Not sure if i'll be able to keep up."

Gerda:"I wouldn't worry about that, I mean some people don't even get near anything to do with Grimm after something like what your family went through."

Ruby:"Yeah, not us. We're hunters through'n through. Even our dog Zwei."

Gerda:"You have a dog? Magnificent! I've worked on a dog before! I also want to be a Huntress, well half..."

Ruby:"You've worked a-?"

Gerda:"Mhm, practicing, I wanna be a field medic!"

Ruby:"Field Medic???"

Gerda:"-sings- Field medic!"

Ruby:"Oh Jeeze! Dad says those are even more dangerous jobs, patching up people in mid battle, and risking your aura like that..."

Gerda:"I've got good experience." -poking her finger and twisting it into her grinning cheek-

-Ruby leans in closer wide eyed-

Ruby:"Oh! So all those stitches are...I mean...wow...those are so good , I mean wow, I mean sorry! I shouldn't have stared but wow!"

Gerda:"It's fine, I'm actually more amused you think they're cool. People usually either stare or make it awkward. But I don't mind, they're what's keep'n me go'n and what saved my life. I only did a few of them though, the ones on my face from a few Hunts...the rest are from before that..."

Ruby:"The rest....."

Gerda:"All over...." -gesturing from head to toe-

Ruby stares:"Sorry again."

Gerda:"Those ones are why the whole surgeon parent thing paid off. Grimm attacked me years ago, and all of this was basically what it took to keep me from going -makes croak noise-! They used dust to ensure certain untested parts worked faster cause they weren't sure how long they could keep my heart going till it stopped on it's own."

Ruby looks on wide eyed

Ruby:"Woooooow."

Gerda:"It wasn't strictly speaking legal to do that so they could've lost their practice completely or gotten arrested and junk like that, BUT..because it obviously worked and it saved my life, and Gen. Ironwood was nice, they were "Sort of disgraced" as opposed to "utterly?" I don't know I just know they can't practice in Atlas anymore."

Ruby:"That's unbelievable!"

Gerda:"What is?"

Ruby:"Them almost losing their job or going to jail for trying to keep you from dying. And it actually working too!"

Gerda:"Yeah, by almost complete accident while I flat lined. A power surge happened with the dust device they used and it started my heart and my semblance went *POP noise*, at the same time...so I've been walking and talking ever since."

Ruby:"That's...amazing!"

Gerda:"You're pretty amazing yourself? Only 15 and slain your first Nevermore? I've fought Grimm myself, but liiiiike not that big, yet!"

Ruby:"Oh that wasn't all me- Oop that's the bell!"

Gerda:"Schooool tiiiime!"-sings-

Ruby:"Nice meeting you Gerda!"

-She shakes her rubber gloved hand which squeaks-

Ruby:"He he , nice gloves."

Gerda:"Thank yoooouuu, they're so i don't electrocute people by mistake. It's happened a few times ironically shaking hands so, i just generally keep em on. Semblance problems right?"

Ruby:"Oh that's neat, I have a team mate who's like that, except she gets stronger when she GETS electrocuted, she doesn't make it really."

Gerda:"Oh lucky, I love my semblance but it can tire you out in a fight and you don't want that happening if there are still Grimm around."

Ruby:"HEY I should introduce you to them and my Team and sister when classes finish! It'll be GREAT"

Gerda:"That sounds stupendous!"
