Description Another attempt at giving fractals a more painterly effect, thanks for viewing/comment Oh yes, created in Ultra Fractal, no postwork!

that is simply superb! May i ask how you created the painting like texture?

It's built up from 10 layers, most of them are Sine from mt.ucl and on each layer I applied Turbulence and Perlin noise-3D from mt.uxf, and on the bottom layer I applied the Lake effect from sg.uxf.

Here's the first layer, it's showing much of the resulting image already, (copy the whole part, including the last bracket, and paste it into your Ultra Fractal screen) hope this helps

Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom! I'll be sure to try this out later! You are the most amazing fractal artist I've seen, im honoured to have your help! ^^ Thanks!

Interesting effect, cross between an explosion and lightning bolt, not something I'd guess UF off the bat, its very nice looking. The only thing that seems odd to me is the top part seem darker than in the reflection.

Thanks for your comment, about the reflection part, I only used the lake effect on the bottom layer, I didn't want the whole image to be reflected, it would have made the image dull imo.

Ah I thought it was both reflected and lake effect on it, still lovely and I agree, the contrast between the two sections is part of the beauty.

What mapping effect is that?

I used Turbulence and Perlin noise-3D from mt.uxf, and on the bottom layer I applied the Lake effect from sg.uxf, good luck
