You set out to re-imagine a character from the TMNT series, a great vision you have set out for a large project that I am pleased to watch unfold. The texture looks wet and fleshy, much like a brain which makes blends in well with Krang's original pink gelatinous looks; very well done. I am also proud to see that while you did go with the living brain route like many others have, you still did so in a way that looked unique; giving Krang a realistic, grotesque look. Overall I feel this model was well crafted concept wise and final product wise.

I love this design but I have to admit... I never cared for Krang... I'm more of a fan of the tmnt comics though than the 80s/90s show. I'd be curious for this to be converted over to an utrom instead though.

I hear you. Each Turtle verse is really it's own thing. Love him or hate him, Krang is unique, and without that Pat Fraley voice, he's not Krang. Looking at this today, I'd do something very different. I think I went to weird. Lol.
Utroms would be an interesting challenge. They never quite struck me as brain creatures though...they sort of reminded me of hairless critters, or meaty looking packman ghosts... maybe they'd be wrinkly old prunes, with skin like a sphinx cat...
Bays Krang, although Β a complete rip off of Invaders from Mars, was pretty cool looking, despite the horrid dialogue and voice work.
Would be neat to go back and explore these dudes again.Β

For utrom envision it is grand, but for krang specifically well⦠I am uncertain. This species is best described as an alien gum brain. Krang currently in media is going for the creepier look. Maybe it is for the best to go all in.  if you are going for the 80s alien nightmare look you have succeeded. This is what movie goers would want. I would like to see different emotions with this look to see if it can work.

I've redesigned the eyes, and we are playing with the lighting now.Β
I think the new eyes will help him to emote.
I wanted a frightening version Β - I know it's a departure from the old cartoon, but I wanted him to really feel alien.

this is stunning. You have put so much detail in to this piece, it's unbelievable. I love how you show him in a test tube-thingie. The flesh/organs looks like it is real, and you've done wonderfully in showing the reflective qualities in this piece. Wonderful Job!

Thank you! It helps to have a friend who knows how to get the most out of a render, and has the proper render engine.
The previous version was rendered in zbrush, which is great for sculpting, but when it comes to rendering...grrrr.
Again, Luc Begin is the man!
