Nope, you are not the only one. I am sick of seeing PATREON plastered in damn near every new image nowadays.

I mention in my video that i do not like pay-walls either.
Because of that I have tried to make sure my patreon is only for creating additional content that i other-wise couldn't have due to lack of time.

Well think of it this way.
Time is money. We artists spend a boatload of time creating each piece of artwork so why would we spend so much time working so hard to finish something only to give it out for free later? That makes no sense.

Yes, but it can be very frustrating when artists you like, who have been showing their art for free for years, decide to hide away all of it unless you donate to them every month, even for artists who were already financially stable through commissions.

Deal with it. You're not entitled to anything.

I like how this NEVER used to be a problem. These days, you are apparently a freeloader, moocher, and a thief if you want to see drawings for...*gasp*...free.

Sounds very stingy of you honestly. Not only do people who donate get artwork they also get access to tutorials and PSD files too. That mindset that everything in life should be free will never get you anywhere.

Sure you'd want to see the art for free, which having a patreon doesn't mean you will never see artwork anymore It just means people who donate every month will get extra perks-which they should.
It'd be like if you pre-ordered a game. If you bought it early you get perks and extra content but EVERYONE gets the game eventually.
If you like an artist and what to support them in other ways than just giving a comment or a like, then you should WANT them to have a patreon. You should want them to be stable. You should want them to make a living with their talent. Not everyone is financially stable through commissions alone and patreon is a great idea that provides monetary support while recieving extra content from the artist you like.
