Splinter in his younger days?
Drew this after coming back from the movie, which actually rocks quite hard. Yay for the 80s resurgences, where old is new once again. Another Tablet piece; drawn, inked and coloured.
At least he won't have to bottlefeed the little F**kers.
(Ps; For them hardcore fans, I'm pretty sure Turtles nor Splintah went through this stage since they might have simply evolved into full adult-type beings, but its a fun thought.
)I am Splinter Fan. ^_^ Yay.

This is a very sweet drawing. I like that you're showing each of the Turtles' personalities: The angry Raph being at odds with Leo, theΒ intellectual Donnie reading a book, and the fun-loving Mikey tying knots in Splinter's tail. Nice job!

The Fates are strange Ladies. Β Splinter lost a family, and gained another. Β Don't think this is what he had in mind. Β However, he rose to the challenge of becoming a single father of four tiny turtles, and nailed it. Β Let's here it for all the single dads in the world that love their little ones more than life itself. Β This drawing tells a while story in one panel. Β Love the way Splinter is using his foot to hold the book while he holds Leo and Raph apart before they really get into it with each other. Β Donnie and Mikey are cute as a button as usual.

This is so adorable, and all the characteristics are so appropriate. Of course Donatello would be the one studying a ninja handbook first, and Leonardo and Raphael already at each other's throat. And Michelangelo naturally the only one still with a pacifier and getting into trouble. Great work. I would love if we once got to see this side of Splinter's relationship with the turtles - he's a ninja master, but parenting was a challenge unlike any he had faced.

Oh, so sweet...
One of the few thins I really loved in new TMNT series was that I could see fatherly aspect of Splinter's charcter (or maybe I was too young to remember it in the old series). I really would watch some father-sons moments from their past.
But those little turtles gives me cavity. I especially love Leo with pacifier.

According to the original first live action movie you are right, somewhat. The turtles were only baby-like in mind just before the started to mutate; but according to the new cartoon they did experience childhood like you have drawn here.
