Tulips! Hopefully I can manage not to completely kill the plant, but I'm not very good with that sort of thing so... we'll just hope for the best.________

It's such a beautiful piece, and I'm so glad that you are proud of it (I've talked to a couple of artists who were mad/upset/disappointed in the choice of DDs from their work, so I'm glad you aren't). It's got to be the prettiest Tulip ever!

This is one of the most amazing botannical photos I've seen in a long time---the lighting is amazing, and the colors are so vivid...like you can just reach right out and touch the blossoms...excellent job!

nice shot! I have seen the black backgrounds before, and have always wondered how its done. It is an editing, do you put something behind the subject that is black, or could it be a light trick somehow?

I use a piece of black velvet for a backdrop. A friend suggested it and I tend to use it more than I probably should. Generally if I edit the background at all it's just to remove little bits of lint.

it's so pretty, it looks more like a sculpture then a living thing that can grow from a seedling to that size.It looks more like it was crafted out of glass or even ceramic because of the lighting and texture. It's lovely!

I use it a lot for dolls, enough that my husband made me a stand that I could hang my fabric on for pictures.

My weakness is black velvet. It's sooooo good for that kind of photography. I need to get more plain colors though since just using black gets a little old.

Yea, I admit the texture of it makes me think "would that look good?" but I've only recently been into staging as much as I have been, so I base a lot of what I know on other people and what I read.

I've been collecting the plz icons of flowers or icons that are flower related. Not everyone likes plz icons or even cares about them, but I thought it'd help make this group unique, so I'll unveil that box one day.
I shall add this one to my list now.

I love plz accounts. I have a folder full of them on my home computer. I started using Pidgen instead of MSN, AIM and Google Talk at home, so I spent a huge amount of last Saturday grabbing different emotes/plz to use for custom emotes. (Unless the account said not to of course.) Flowerdanceplz and fingerdanceplz are my two favorites so far.
