Charlie is not impressed with my picture taking.
This is a stray that has been coming around for a while now. I don't think I've posted pictures of him before. He is the absolute sweetest cat (next to Rose) and I would take him in in a heartbeat but Ryan says we can't since we already have three cats. At least I know the neighbor feeds him, and he gets lots of love from me and the neighbors on the other side.

One of the neighbor's (the one on the other side of me, not the one feeding him) really wants to take him in but her husband won't let her either. Apparently our husbands are butt heads. XP
Of course I do understand where Ryan's coming from. Three cats are already really expensive... but Charlie is so sweeeeeeeeet! I think when we start getting the first signs of an actual tropical storm/hurricane I'm going to try pushing to take him in. We've already talked about keeping him in the garage (if we can find him) if there's a tropical storm or hurricane.

But I do hope he'll be more accepting when the storms start coming to at LEAST keeping him in your garage... Wouldn't want Charlie out there in that weather, no way... x_x.

Definitely not. A couple of weeks ago we had a storm and I was on the porch taking pictures of the clouds when Charlie ran up and started rubbing against my legs. Half an hour later I'd gotten him a blanket to lay on, had moved one of my plants to block the rain that might blow in and we were just hanging out waiting for the rain to stop.

I hope he comes around in time for you to give him a nice place to stay when those storms hit.
Has the weather been relatively decent there? Or are you stuck in this horrible heat wave on the east coast as well? We haven't had rain for weeks, everything is so brown... Though, today, finally, rain has come!

Oh yes, we've been having the heat. Actually your comment reminded me I needed to water my plants so I ran off and did that. 
The highest chance of rain we have is 60% for Saturday and I'm really hoping we get it.

Same here... I hope we do, too! The rain we got today only lasted 10 minutes... But, at least it was something I suppose.

I love how he has that look of superiority and distain on his face. That's how my cat looks at me when I take too long feeding them.

Your description of him reminds me of a "stray" that's been hanging around (and getting fed at) my mother-in-law's place for a few years now. He's an orange tabby and we call him Thomas (or Tom/Tommy for short). He's such a dear! One of the most affectionate cats I've ever encountered!

I swear it's the coloring or something that just gives that type of cat a pissy looking expression in general. Gambit tends to look annoyed all the time too.

I have a soft spot for them. Gambit and Charlie look a lot alike, Charlie just has more white on him and y'know... isn't fat. *pokes Gambit*
