Description
A random card, i felt inspired for the art, and because its a special day for me ^^ tried to realate both things into what sacrifice means to me.Its only real and worth if its for someone else and only if it will be for something good.

So what happens when its a state-based action? Say -1/-1 counters brought it to below X/0, or something simular??

since the card itself states the ability can be played only once each turn, that would prevent the creature from leaving play during a second while the ability stacks (which anyway is pointless), something similar happens with another official card which I can't remember its name atm... anyway its like playing a counter to a spell that states it can't be countered, you can still do it but it will be pointless xP thanks for the comment

well the only way i could think for not losing the sense of the card was to limit it to once per turn instead of just making it expensive

It's definitely a doable aura, man. You have a good grasp of the game's little catches. Hell, even your mana cost seems to be on point. It's something I'd love to see in Alara Reborn.
