Why so much negative space for the render?

Actually wanted to put some texture samples there for another version, that's why. Left it for this one because I like this slight white to blue gradient.

Gotchya. Well it is a pleasing render, to be sure but individual asset breakdowns like this are seldom treated a "beauty shots" like environments often are. And looking at your work, you seem to have a solid grasp on environmental work so I'd do something similar with a full environment composition; make a shot very unbalanced and it could look quite stellar.
