Description 10X10" ink-jet prints on opaque & translucent paper, various glues, varnished

multiple photos taken over multiple days compressed (hence the title). Translucent paper glued over opaque areas kick up the depth of color & add a weird dimensionality. The translucent paper is a bitch to glue down- it loves to curl. I eventually figured out if you apply glue to the ground then apply the transparent paper, it lies better, but then you have to be very! careful removing excess glue. I recommend fixing the copies before cutting & gluing.

Love the layering of this piece and how it all harmonizes in the composition; also the contrasting opaqueness/translucence. Very, very cool.

Thank you...total pain in the ass to do...translucent paper does not like to be glued down...but you can get cool results...

...cursing helps.

This is superb. Curling is the biggest challenge I face as a collage artist. I recently attempted to use this highly recommended dry glue referred to as Zip Dry. Complete balls. The stuff wouldn't even secrete from the container even after I applying Bruce Lee like grip to the thing!

I use pretty basic glues- YES! being my go-to glue of choice. The weird thing was- if I appled a good coat of glue to the collage (vs the paper being applied to the collage) I got decent results- just clean up of excess glue was a pain.

Thank you for the tip. I typically use water based acrylic glues myself. I've tried a few techniques such as only gluing the outer rim of a picture and etc. My mat boards have grown extensively thicker over the years to combat curling. I'm finally at a place where it's nearly non issue.

A most wonderful image.

Love the various cobalt blue tones / hues in this mosaic.

Very unique idea and presentation.

Thank you for explaining the process by which you rendered / displayed this work of yours.

thank you very much- the comments about process were semi-cautionary- the translucent paper is a bear to collage.
