Austin I have a question to ask when designing your art piece did you look to other movies for inspiration?

Yeah, at times. I take a look around as to what is going on today, as well as what seems to be getting popular or soon will be. Then I go back & study/research all the wonderful retro greatness that entertained & inspired me growing up, then roll it all in to a new reborn direction. Guess the rest of the world/biz out there hasn't seen it's wonder just yet, maybe some day.....while I'm still kicking would be ideal.

Great use of ideation this is also how I get my inspiration I look to the past. I look to my childhood for that's were all the great ideas derived from they just don't make them like they use to. It's up to artists like us to bring them back for today's generation to once again give new inspiration by keeping the visions alive.

Optical AL I would like to congratulate you on your illustration. This is definitely a great art piece and captures the concept of the fictional character Beetlejuice quite well. The detail in this piece is very gritty in a good way and it reinvents the character in a new light by giving him insect characteristics. Great use of illustrative typography the Beetlejuice logo is done very aesthetically and professionally which make it very impressive and appealing to the audience. The same thing goes for the quote "It's Showtime". By looking at your piece I see you have a passion for illustration in pop culture in this case Beeltejuice. As one artist to another your work has gotten me inspired. Growing up as kid I loved watching Tim Burton's Beelejuice the movie and animated series. There is something about Tim Burton's concept style in which he presents his vision "movies" that always attracted my attention growing up. This not only fascinated me but made me dream beyond my dreams. After reviewing your masterpiece I have come to conclusion that you are a craftsman in what you do and that is make great art. Awesome job! Optical AL keep up the outstanding work.

Optic-AL A.K.A Austin L. Brooks is a Pro when it comes to extreme detail. I been following his professional work for quite some time now and not once has he cease to amaze me. All I can say is the work he displays is all portfolio worth a true Artist. Keep em coming Austin you have great talent.

Whoa, thats a lot of crazy ghost with the most detail going on there. I like how you made the hairs shoot out like spider legs, adds to the creepy factor. Great jorb.

The design does him justice quite well. For those who grew up on 80's and 90's pop culture this is great piece. An Iconic re-imagining for pop culture fans of the past I being one of them.

I agree with you they should hire you to design the character in a new light a modern version of Beetlejuice. if they plan on ever doing a remake just like you have show in your post. Looking at all your other work in 80's and 90's pop cultural I can say you have the concept and imagination down to a science.
